We’ve got to admit that we’re suckers for beauty brands which balance natural ingredients with science. One such brand to hit the headlines recently is Pureheals – and in particular their Volcanic Pore Heating Gel.
We honestly thought that we’d heard of just about every ingredient known to man that promises to act like a magnet and draw out all that horrible gunk which clogs pores and causes blackheads. How wrong were we!
Now before you get all hot under the collar, no one’s suggesting that you rub the fiery molten lava that explodes out of the top of volcanos all over your nose – just a pared-back version of it! Oh, and don’t worry, the main star of the show, the lava, has been cooled down significantly.
It’s so easy to use
This ingenious new gel actually hails from Jeju Island, which some liken to the Hawaii of South Korea. Dispensed from a tube via a massaging bristled tip, the gel acts like an all in one cleanser and pore stripper. You simply apply it to the affected area where the pores are clogged and gently rub. As you do so, you’ll feel the gel start to warm up your skin, softening the clogged pores.
How it works
The science behind the product is that the volcanic lava powder plays its part by removing excess oil and drawing out all the impurities in the pores. Meanwhile the mineral rich sea water helps firm up the skin, improves its texture, and shrinks the appearance of the pores. The innovative rubber bristled tip makes it easy to cover those difficult creases found around the nose area and provides a gentle exfoliating experience by removing dead skin cells before they can clog up the pores.
This product is a far safer and more convenient solution to those metal pore extractors which you may have tried yourself at home (and which can cause damage to skin cells if used incorrectly). It also eliminates the need to visit a beauty salon for a blackhead removal facial. Instead, all you need do is massage the gel on your skin for 3 to 5 minutes before washing off with water. Do this regularly and you’ll soon be admiring your glowing, healthy skin.
Volcanic lava powder may seem like an unusual ingredient to use in a skincare product, but it seems that it’s fast becoming the skin care of the future. Omorovicza already use it as the main exfoliating agent in their Refining Facial Polisher while other brands are incorporating volcanic sand and ash with charcoal to create the ultimate detoxifying formula.
